Restaurant Meals for SNAP Recipients

If you receive SNAP benefits, you may be eligible to buy prepared meals at some restaurants with your Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.

The Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) serves SNAP recipients who:

May not have access to food preparation
May not have storage resources
Are unable to prepare meals for themselves

You can’t apply for RMP. If you meet one or more of the eligibility requirements, your SNAP case is automatically updated as eligible for the program.

To be eligible, all members of the SNAP household must be one of the following:

Older adults, age 60 and older and their spouses
People with disabilities and their spouses
People experiencing homelessness

Check your Eligibility

To check if you’ve been identified as eligible, log into your ebtEDGE account or ebtEDGE mobile app. Under "Account Information," you will get a message stating whether you are eligible.

If you are not eligible and believe you should be, contact the Human Resources Administration (HRA).
