The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) LockerNYC pilot program allows New Yorkers to conveniently receive and send packages using secure lockers on public sidewalks.

This program was announced in summer 2023 and launched in April 2024. The program will run for at least one year. It aims to cut down on package thefts and reduce delivery truck trips.

There will be at least 15 LockerNYC locations with free 24/7 access for customers with participating carrier companies.
