Starting January 2024, some New York City workers will get an email or text message from the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). It asks them to complete a brief survey to help DCWP understand whether employers are following protection laws.

If you received a survey, you can verify the link is from DCWP if it ends with nyc.gov.

Avoid scams. DCWP will never ask you for personal financial information.

If you got the survey and have questions, you can contact DCWP. DCWP will keep your name confidential and won't share it with employers.
