Rosh Hashanah takes place on Thursday, October 3rd and Friday, October 4th.

On both days:

• Government offices are open. There is mail delivery.

• Alternate side parking is suspended. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

• New York City public schools are closed.
  • Parking is allowed in school zones when school is in recess. However, specific schools may be open on holidays, and parking restrictions would remain in effect. • Trash and recycling collections are on schedule.

• The Staten Island Ferry runs on a normal weekend schedule.
