Need something else?

With an NYC311 Online Account, you can:

  • Track your service requests in one convenient location
  • Submit service requests faster by prefilling your contact information
  • Set preferences for how you receive request status updates

You aren’t required to have an online account to use our website or file service requests; it just makes things a bit easier.

We are changing the way you log in to your 311 Account. We’re now using NYC.ID, the single sign-in for many City websites. This change makes your account safer and easier to use with other City government websites.

If you use the same email address for both your 311 Account and your NYC.ID, just log in with your NYC.ID password and username.

If you do not use the same email address for both your 311 Account and your NYC.ID, you’ll need to create a new NYC.ID to keep your past 311 service request history. Here is what you need to do:

  1. Go to the NYC.ID Create Account page.
  2. Complete the form. Make sure to enter the email address you’ve used for your 311 Account. Please note: If you don’t do this now, you’ll lose your service request history.
  3. Submit the form.
  4. Confirm your email address.

Signing up is easy.

To create an NYC.ID:

  1. Click “Sign Up” on the right side of the NYC311 homepage or click here.
  2. Go to the Create Account page.
  3. Complete the form. If you are linking your 311 Account, make sure to enter the same email address you’ve used for your 311 Account to link it with NYC.ID.
  4. Submit the form.
  5. Confirm your email address.
  6. Complete your 311 profile.

On November 13, 2025, 311’s website accounts system was converted to NYC.ID.

NYC.ID is the single sign-in system for many City websites, including ACCESS HRA, Notify NYC, and NYC Housing Connect.

If you had an account before November 13 and have not yet registered for an NYC.ID through 311:

  • Usernames and passwords from 311’s former accounts system have been deactivated. Your account history has been retained.
  • To access your 311 account, you’ll need to register for NYC.ID. If you use the same email address your former account had, your history will carry over automatically.

If you signed up for an account after November 13 or have an NYC.ID already:

On November 13, 2025, NYC311’s online accounts transitioned to the NYC.ID platform. An email notification was sent out to account holders about this change.

Some email platforms mistakenly converted the NYC.ID name into a hyperlink. Since the official name includes a period between the C and the I, a few systems interpreted it as a web address and created a link automatically. This made it seem like a valid link was there when it wasn’t.

If you’ve already completed your 311 profile on NYCID, there’s nothing further you need to do.

If you haven’t created yours yet, you can get started by using the Create an NYC.ID section above.
