Eligible patients can get tuberculosis (TB) screening and treatment at clinics, Chest Centers, and hospitals. You must make an appointment.
Since January 1, 2015, New York City Health Department clinics have adopted new health insurance and billing practices in order to comply with State law and Medicaid rules:
- Chest center staff will ask for your health insurance information.
- The Health Department will not collect any payments or copayments.
- If you do not have health insurance, you will still get services.
- Your visit remains confidential.
You can get more information about tuberculosis, testing and treatment, and about clinics online.
