Search for a missing cat:
It is recommended that you visit an ACC location to check for your lost pet. You can search ACC's lost and found database for photos and descriptions of animals that are currently at the shelter, but there is no guarantee that a pet will be documented on the database.
If you have limited internet access, you can file a lost pet report at an ACC location. If you believe your pet has been seized by ACC or the NYPD, you should go to an ACC location in person.
Report a found cat:
If the cat has identification, you can contact their owner directly. You can also bring a cat to most veterinary hospitals to scan for a microchip.
You can drop a found cat off at any ACC location or report the found cat on the ACC's lost and found database.
ACC does not capture or accept reports of healthy stray or feral cats. Bringing in a stray cat may not be in their best interest if the cat appears healthy and thriving in the community.
