Violation Certification

If you correct the violation within the timeframe given by HPD, you should certify, either by mail or using eCertifcation, that the violations were corrected within the required time period on the Notice of Violation.

Clearing Violation after Deadline

To clear a violation after the deadline has passed, building owners must file a Dismissal Request form with their HPD Code Enforcement Borough Office. There is a fee for this inspection based on the type of property and the number of open violations.

You can schedule an appointment online to speak with a representative from HPD’s Code Enforcement office either virtually or by telephone. While HPD pilots this new service, only a limited number of time slots will be available. HPD may adjust the number of time slots offered based on demand.

Appointments are only on Wednesdays.
