The Department for the Aging (DFTA) works with Citymeals on Wheels to offer a Friendly Visiting Program for older adults age 60 and older who have difficulty leaving their homes.

The program matches older adults with a screened and trained volunteer who will visit them at home on a regular basis. The older adult and the volunteer will have an opportunity to spend time sharing common interests, ideas, opinions, and experiences.

If you or someone you know would like to receive a friendly visitor, you can contact a case management agency, which will help connect older adults with friendly visitors.
