The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is warning businesses to be on the lookout for e-mails that appear to be complaint notifications. These fake e-mails are part of a phishing scam.

Any e-mails claiming to be from the DCA that do not end with “” should not be opened, responded to, or forwarded, and should be deleted immediately.

You can report receiving a fake e-mail to DCA. You can also make your report online to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
