You can anonymously report a tip about a crime or information about a police officer being shot or targeted, through New York City’s Crime Stoppers Hotline and COP SHOT Program. Cash rewards are available if the information provided leads to an arrest and an indictment or conviction.

The City accepts tips regarding individuals wanted for past felony crimes. 

These crimes can include:

  • Murder
  • Shooting
  • Attempted murder
  • Rape
  • Robbery
  • Arson
  • Burglary
  • Any open misdemeanor or felony warrant

You can remain anonymous. If you provide information leading to the arrest and indictment of a person who committed a violent felony, you are eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,500.
