You can participate with your community in yearlong decision-making public meetings to decide how to spend part of a public budget. Participatory Budgeting NYC (PBNYC) lets the community discuss local needs and develop proposals to meet these needs.

Decisions are made through a public vote, where residents choose which proposals to fund.

The People’s Money is a participatory budgeting (PB) process that allows New Yorkers to decide what projects in their neighborhood should get funded.

If you are a New York City resident that lives, works or goes to school in one of the 33 TRIE Neighborhoods, you are eligible to vote on your preferred projects between December 7, 2021 and January 17, 2022.

Visit www.participate.nyc.gov to vote online. You will need to sign up or log in with an NYC ID account.

By Mail

Neighborhood organizations will distribute paper ballots throughout your community. In addition, public libraries will have ballots starting January 3, 2022.
