The NYC Healthy Neighborhoods Program (HNP) provides a free home inspection for New York City residents with asthma, to identify asthma triggers or other health hazards in the home.

To qualify for this free service, you must:

  • Rent your home and live within the 5 boroughs
  • Have a mold, mouse, rat or roach problem in your home
  • Have a medical diagnosis of moderate persistent or severe persistent asthma

If you or your child does not have asthma, and you are calling about pests or mold in your home and live in a building with three or more apartments, you can have your complaint forwarded to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
