Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

For the health and well-being of older adults, all senior center group programming and activities are cancelled until further notice.

Senior centers are no longer providing grab-and-go meals. Instead, meals are being delivered directly to the home of the senior center member. Contact your local senior center to learn more about this direct delivery system.

Senior centers are located in many neighborhoods around New York City.

These centers offer a variety of programs and services to New Yorkers ages 60 and older, including:

  • Meals served at the center
  • Educational and recreational activities
  • Social services
  • Application assistance
  • Volunteer opportunities

There are also Innovative Senior Centers that provide enhanced programming, including technology, volunteer opportunities, and arts and cultural programs. The centers also offer health and wellness education, covering such topics as nutrition, chronic disease management, healthcare access, fitness, and recreation.

Contact your neighborhood senior center for information about specific programs.
