Need something else?

The Newborn Home Visiting Program (NHVP) supports new parents within the first weeks of childbirth. It’s part of the New Family Home Visits Initiative.

NHVP health professionals visit families and provide services and tips on many topics, including:

  • Development of both your baby and your other children
  • Breastfeeding or other infant feeding
  • Creating a safe home environment
  • Safe sleep
  • Mental health for parents
  • Connecting to additional resources to help meet your family’s needs

Through the Cribs for Kids initiative, eligible families with a child younger than 3 months may also receive a free crib. NHVP determines eligibility based on need and home Zip Code.
