You must have an Industrial Laundry Delivery License if your business transports laundry from:

  • A commercial client within the city to an industrial laundry within or outside the city for laundry services OR
  • A commercial client outside the city to an industrial laundry within the city for laundry services OR
  • An industrial laundry within the city to a commercial client within or outside the city after laundry services have been performed OR
  • An industrial laundry outside the city to a commercial client within the city after laundry services have been performed

"Laundry services" means washing, drying, starching, or ironing laundry for a fee. It does not include dry cleaning.

You don't need an Industrial Laundry Delivery License if you hold an Industrial Laundry License from the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection and indicated that your business will transport laundry. You also don't need a Laundry Driver License.

Fee

The fee for the full two-year license term is $340.

Expiration Date

The license expires on December 31 in odd-numbered years.

About three months before your license expires, the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) will mail you a renewal package.

You can complete and submit the application DCWP sent you by mail or in person, or you can renew online. Once your license expires, you are considered unlicensed and you may get penalties if you continue to operate. If you don’t renew your license within 59 days of expiration, you will have to reapply for a new license.

Online

To renew online you need to have a DCWP online account and a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The PIN is required to link information about your DCWP records to your online account.
