Add Chemicals to Water Supply Permit

You must have a permit to add approved chemicals to the water supply of a building.

Fees

The fee for a new permit is $495.

The annual renewal fee is $70.

Expiration Date

The permit expires after 1 year.

You can renew through DOHMH’s license and permit portal. You need to have an account and a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Renew by Mail

Several weeks before your permit expires, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) will mail you a renewal package. Follow the directions on the renewal notice to renew by mail.
