The City's Teen ACTION programs offer young people in grades 7 to 10 an opportunity to make an impact in their community. During after-school hours, participants will work with instructors to design, develop, and implement a service learning project that meets a need in the community.

The program will develop leadership skills and community awareness, and aims to help prevent teen drug use, pregnancy, and school drop-out. Participants will also have access to health and mental health services through partner organizations at the site.

ACTION stands for "Achieving Change Together In Our Neighborhoods."
