The City University of New York (CUNY) trains green-collar workers who can help keep New York City running efficiently.

Through its Center for Sustainable Energy, Green Energy Training at CUNY (GET at CUNY) offers courses and workshops in the following areas: 

  • Energy-efficient building, including Building Performance Institute (BPI) training
  • Solar electricity (Photovoltaics or PV)
  • Solar thermal
  • Geoexchange (Geothermal)
  • Marketing clean, green energy

Green Energy Training Courses are held at multiple CUNY campuses, including:

  • Borough of Manhattan Community College
  • Bronx Community College
  • Kingsborough Community College
  • LaGuardia Community College
  • Medger Evers College
  • New York City Tech

CUNY also works with many of the City's trade associations to develop and conduct advanced training at selected sites.
