You can watch World Cup matches at free watch parties across all five boroughs, located in the city’s parks, plazas, marketplaces and theaters. Full details are available online.

Official NYNJ Fan Events will take place across all five boroughs.These events will bring live match viewings, cultural programming, local businesses and interactive experiences directly to New Yorkers at no cost.

Events are free, but attendees will have to reserve tickets.

World Cup Final Watch Party in Central Park

There will be a free watch party in Central Park for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final on Sunday, July 19. Tickets for the event will be distributed by Global Citizen through a lottery system.

Individuals interested in attending can now register. The lottery will remain open through July 16.

Certain items are prohibited at FIFA matches and official fan events. There will also be bag screenings.

FIFA rules include:

  • No drones
  • No weapons of any kind
  • No pepper spray or mace
  • No glass
  • No alcohol
  • No fireworks or pyrotechnics
  • No smoking
  • No bikes or scooters
  • No drugs or drug paraphernalia of any kind (including medical & recreational cannabis)
  • No animals except for service animals assisting an individual with a disability (“comfort,” “therapy” or “emotional support” animals do not meet the definition of a service animal and are not permitted entry to the event)

On days when FIFA World Cup matches are held at NYNJ Stadium (MetLife Stadium), New Jersey Transit will make temporary service adjustments before and after each match to safely manage large crowds.

Rail service will run on regular schedules during the match.

In the four hours leading up to kickoff, access to trains at Penn Station New York and Secaucus Junction will be limited to customers traveling to the stadium, to safely accommodate the high volume of match travel.
